Were going to Berlin! Animals I Killed Last Summer is selected for the Generation 14plus in the 63 Berlinale and will be screened next week!
Me Daniella Mendel Enk (actress, dramaturgist) will stay in Berlin from sunday to tuesday and Cilla Holm (producer) will stay the whole week!
The Twin wins the grand prix (HC Anderson award) in the international competition at the Odense International Film Festival, Denmarks largest shortfilm festival.
The jurys motivation:
An original story with excellent actors. It is inspired by humor, lightness and fairytales with metaphors of recent historical events. The film is created convincingly elegant by using small symbols in a very original way. In the film and in the real world the Danielssons twins work well together. The complexity in this relationship enriches the film.
Unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to go to Odense to receive the price. But I got it in the mail yesterday! It’s a clay sculpture and parts of it was broken during the shipping (!) but I glued it together with superglue…
Finished the shootings of the 1-km film award short film”Animals I killed last summer” with a lovely cast and crew.
Since i didn’t expect this award, I had no family or friends or crew with me at the Gala. So here’s the moment:
I’m extremely happy and grateful to the festival and the jury! And I would like to thank everyone in the Twin team and especially Oskar Danielson Fängström and Daniella Mendel-Enk.
The jurys motivation: ”For a scripted and visually unique universe that combines surrealism, philosophy, technical brilliance and warmth with odd and lovable characters. Despite the obvious correlation with his artistic upbringing, the director shows a clear, strong and original artistic world on the highest international level.”
För ett högst unikt regissörskap som i såväl text som bild väver samman surrealism, filosofi, teknisk briljans och värme med egensinniga karaktärer. Trots ett tydligt släktskap med den egna konstnärliga skolan, uppvisar regissören en egen stark och djupt originell röst på den högsta internationella nivån.

The Twin is screened Thursday17/11 night along with 9 other short films at Bio Mauritz at Filmhuset. The winner of the price is announced on this Saturday 19/11.
”The Twin” wins the Audience Award at the Uppsala International Short film festival. Uppsala is Oskars home town and we picked up the price and so on!
”The Twin” wins the Busan Cinephile Award of 5 000 000 won! Main actor Oskar and director Gustav attended the festival. The whole trip to Busan, South korea was fantastic! The weather was nice the people were nice and audience was fantastic!!!
